Random Pre-Christmas

Nana made Annie and Maycie's Christmas dresses.

It snowed for the first time in what feels like forever on Monday and so Brent and Annie decided to build a snowman. . .

He turned out pretty good. . .

So they decided to build an Annie sized one too. . .

Annie was left in the family room by herself, Merry Christmas to her. . .

Hopefully she will still be excited on Saturday when she has to open the same presents again!

The Tree

We put up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. It was a lot of fun for Annie to experience.

Annie helped pull down the branches. . .

Maycie wanted to help too. . .

Annie's favorite part was putting the star on the top of the tree. . .

 

She also enjoyed dressing up like the tree. . .

A Quick Trip

We went to Zermatt for a little trip. 

Annie had a great time in the giant bed all by herself. . .

Maycie had a fun time watching daddy and Annie swim. . .

Annie had a blast. . .

Her favorite part was playing hide and seek at the pool. . .

We had a great time!

Family Pictures

We got our family pictures taken because Brent said that we could do our first Christmas card. They turned out really well for having 2 little girls that were hungry and did not want to cooperate. Prepare yourself for a bombardment of pictures. . .

New Blog!

I started a new blog. It is just for my recipes and crafty things. I will still be posting family stuff here. Its called Cupcakes with Sprinkles...days made sweet. Check it out. I think it has turned out pretty cute. I am still working on some stuff but its as complete as it can be with only having 1 post.

The First Snow!

Last week it snowed for the first time. Annie was so excited that I had to let her go out. . .

She did not however have any boots. . .

But she did have a lot of fun even though her fingers and toes were freezing. . .

She is so cute. . .

Buttercream Frosting

I needed a frosting recipe for a dessert I was making for a party and I found this one. Its a lot of frosting but we made cup cakes and sugar cookies and I am never sure how much of anything I need. So I always make to much.

Buttercream Frosting

1 cup Butter, softened

8 cups Powdered Sugar

1/2 cup Milk

2 tsp Vanilla

In a mixing bowl, cream butter. Beat in sugar and vanilla. Add milk until frosting reaches desired consistency.

Halloween!!

Halloween is not my favorite holiday. I dont like dressing up, I HATE the smell of the pumpkins when they are being carved and I dont really like candy. But it has been fun to get to watch Annie enjoy this holiday. 

It began on Monday with Brent and Annie carving pumpkins.They had a lot of fun together. . .

We had a party at Brent's parents on Sunday and Brent and I made these little babies for dessert. . .

It is always fun to take this picture of the kids in their costumes. . .

Maybe I will start to like Halloween after all, I don't think I will ever like the smell of pumpkins but I love to watch Annie enjoy all of the fun!
